Oops, just checked some other stuff. Robert Nelson did die in 1941 and he only had one daughter with his first wife. Clarice and Cressy are one and rye same.

This is fabulous!! A couple of corrections: It was Robert L. Warnock who died in 1941, not his father Robert Nelson Warnock. his first daughter was called Clarice and she went by the nickname Cressie according to my great grandfather's dictated memoir. I have been finding conflicting birth dates and names with Clarice and Cressie so it is possible he had another child and as he aged he made some revisions to his history. Robert L. Warnocks wife just celebrated her 100th b-day and their history is frequently altered.

It's good to have Dave and Sally back in the store. It's not the same without them. OK, the horns were the same, but there is something about Dave and Sally and the Imnaha Store and Tavern.

In 1975 Lloyd came into the Radio Shack store in Enterprise which was owned by my dad, Tom Smith. Lloyd was looking to have his Sons of the Pioneers reel-to-reel tapes transfered onto cassette so he could play them in his truck. My dad gladly did the recording under one condition. That he would make two copies and keep one for himself. Lloyd agreed and, as far as I know, my dad still has that cassette. There were songs that I'd never heard before on that recording.

I was born in LaGrande and my folks knew "Tommy" Doss...went to school with him. My dad talked about him often and was proud to know somebody from the Sons of the Pioneers. This is a great story about the man and his music, his place in Wallowa County. My late husband, Chuck Ackley, and I spent several years in and out of the County with various activities. It's a place dear to my heart. Thanks for writing it.

Why was he euthanized and not relocated? This is the problem with people who are uneducated about the species.....if these so called hunters would stop killing the wolf's natural prey they would not attack such livestock...hmmm think about it....not to mention the ranchers have set the wolf up for failure settling in wolf territory...I guess as was'icu did to my people they will do it where ever they can...never fails...HOKA HEY!!!!.
