Arlene Blevans was born on December 6, 1894 in Imnaha to Murat Blevans and Jennie Beith. She grew up in the Imnaha area and had two brothers named Lynn Kirkland Blevans and Robert Kenneth Blevans. She was a writer and many of her poems and stories were published in newspapers in Wallowa County.

She was the wife of Robert Wayne Reams and the mother of Shirley Reams–who died in infancy–and Robert Wayne Reams II.

She was the grandmother of Beverly Roxanne Reams, Sally Arlene Reams, Laine Kathleen Reams, Robert Wayne Reams III, Shirley Wynne Reams, Karin Renee Reams, James Brandon Reams and Braden Shane Reams.

Arlene passed away on October 11, 1963 in Enterprise, Oregon.
